Established in 1999, the Friends of Kirkmont Fund helps maintain and improve the facilities so that a safe and comfortable environment is provided for the many groups and individuals who participate in our programs and use the buildings and grounds. Many of the original and subsequent structures will soon be 45 years old and need to be repaired, re-built, or replaced. The newer facilities need maintenance on structures, plumbing, electrical, and heating systems. The land needs constant care, as we groom nature trails and protect special wildlife habitats and the Adena Archeological Dig Site. Because Kirkmont Center is committed to serve all people, the buildings, restrooms, and some nature trails need to be made accessible. All of this is expensive! This fund-raising effort was organized to support needed maintenance projects.
